MOTHER MARIAM’S VISIT TO LELIANI

At Leliani, we were honored to welcome a truly special guest: Mother Mariam, Abbess of the Convent of the Transfiguration. The main purpose of this meeting was to share the concerns and joys of our home’s care staff – the people devoted to one of the most important missions of all: caring for the elderly.

Why should hardship not frighten us? How can we support a person on the path of aging? How do we offer comfort and ease their pain? And the most delicate topic of all – what happens when a person passes on? How can we overcome grief through love and gratitude?

This was a conversation that left us not with ready-made answers, but with something far more meaningful: peace, acceptance, and hope.
